  • Original clips would be installed in conjunction with sill grommets, however, these are not required with this 3D printed clip, as the grommets are ‘integrated’ into the design, therefore if you car still has these grommets pushed into the mounting holes in the sill, these will need to be removed prior to installation with these clips. Clips should be inserted into chrome trim, aligned properly with indents in chrome trim, and then installed onto car. Do this in a well-lit environment so that you can ensure clips are aligned with holes in the sill, and once properly installed and prepared, gently tap in using the palm of your hand, making sure the trim is uniformly being installed, and is not crooked, as extensive bending of trim clips can cause them to break.

DISCLAIMER: These have been made to fit a perfect condition chrome sill cover. If your sill cover is dented or bent, there is a chance that the fitment could be too loose or too tight. It is recommended that you do not try to ‘snap’ these into place, as automotive trim clips are delicate, therefore you should attempt to gently pry open the sill cover and ‘seat’ these into their correct position, using the locator tabs. Furthermore, it should be ensured that the correct clips are put into their correct positions and are perfectly aligned with their holes, as misalignment could cause breakage of these delicate clips upon install. Install should only be carried out by capable person(s). In the event of failure of the clips, the sill cover should not fall off, as traditionally these also featured a metal bracket which bolted to the car body, but as always, a small amount of adhesive is always recommended to be added to the clips for added security if it is not intended that the sill covers shall be removed in the near future.
