As the original part was susceptible to falling out over time, it is recommended that a dab of an adhesive, such as superglue, epoxy resin, or sealant be added to these caps to prevent them falling out. It is also recommended that you clean out the inside of your sill cover with a toothbrush or equivalent, as any stuck debris behind the sill cover could cause breakage of this part upon install if not done carefully.
